UX-UI Design
The project aimed to promote circular economy and object reuse through an Android device web, thus achieving a positive impact on the environment and society. To accomplish this, we followed a design thinking methodology.
The website will allow users to lend objects to their neighbors and others, thus promoting the sharing economy and reducing unnecessary consumption.
How can we promote and facilitate circular economy through a digital platform?
Nielsen's 10 principles were applied to perform competitive analysis of 4 collaborative economy platforms, and interviews were conducted to understand the users.
Two user personas were created to represent users who lend and receive objects, and opportunities were identified through the user journey.
A list of functionalities was created based on the conclusions of this research.
In this phase, we've focused on organizing and structuring the web content. Initially, we conducted a content inventory, followed by an open card sorting process.
We analyzed the results using the dendrogram and the similarity matrix to generate the content tree.
With this information, we designed the wireframes and low-fidelity prototype, including the most important interaction flows. Finally, we conducted a user test to make improvements in the design.
We decided to directly relate it to the concept of circular economy and reuse by incorporating a circular arrow instead of the last letter.
We created a style guide that served as the basis for developing the UI kit. With this kit, we designed the wireframes and finally the high-fidelity prototype.
What I have learned
It's important to stay updated
It is essential to stay up to date on the latest design and UX-UI trends, as well as possessing strong skills in tools such as Figma in order to offer innovative and effective solutions that meet users' expectations.
Focus on the research question, on finding a solution to the problem.
I haven't had enough time to analyze all the available information, so it's important to know how to filter and focus on what is relevant and useful to achieve the project's goals.
